I’m white. Should I join?

To become an NAACP member, it’s not about what color you are. Systemic Racism isn’t a Black problem; it’s an American problem. And being in the North Shore of Massachusetts, it’s hard to escape the fact that approximately 92% of people who live here are white. That means that if we’re going to create a branch it will most likely include a majority of white allies. If you are white, and want to stand against racism with us, but lack the confidence to join us, please watch this video we put together with you in mind. Because you are not only allowed to join, you are embraced and encourage to do it! We all suffer when diversity, equality and inclusion are absent. We’re here to build enough membership so that our political leaders have to listen to our voice, implement needed change and provide a just and free society for everyone.
